Sculptra® Aesthetic in Santa Monica, CA

This filler is injected below the surface of the skin in the areas of fat loss. The Sculptra injection consists of an alpha hydroxy acid called poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA. This product is safe, synthetic, biocompatible, biodegradable and long-lasting. No pre-treatment allergy testing is required for Sculptra treatments performed in our Los Angeles area office.

The results of Sculptra will appear gradually after the injection, with most patients able to achieve their desired results after just one treatment session. The length of the results can vary from patient to patient, but often last for up to two years.

Sculptra® is an injectable product that restores and corrects the signs of facial fat loss by replacing lost volume. Facial fat loss, or lipoatrophy, is the loss of fat beneath the skin, which can result in sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes. Sculptra provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas.

The results from Sculptra® are not immediate but they are long-lasting. In a clinical study, effects lasted for up to two years after the first treatment session in most patients. No skin testing is required.
